About The Position

The Ticket Office Coordinator assists with the daily operations of the Athletic Ticket Office, supporting the sale, distribution, and reconciliation of tickets for NCAA athletic events. This position provides exceptional customer service to students, alumni, donors, corporate partners, visiting teams, and the general public while ensuring compliance with NCAA, conference, institutional, and departmental policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • One to three years of experience in ticket operations, customer service, sales, or athletics administration.
  • Experience working with computerized ticketing systems.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to handle confidential information and financial transactions accurately.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by athletic schedules.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to work in indoor and outdoor event environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in NCAA Division I, II, or III athletics.
  • Working knowledge of ticketing platforms such as Paciolan, Ticketmaster, AudienceView, or Tickets.com.
  • Experience with mobile ticketing and CRM systems.
  • Supervisory experience with student workers or event staff.
  • Knowledge of NCAA and Southland Conference regulations related to ticket operations.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate ticket sales and distribution for athletic events, including volleyball, basketball, baseball, and other sports.
  • Process season tickets, mini-plans, group sales, and individual game ticket orders.
  • Manage ticket inventory and seating assignments within the ticketing software system.
  • Assist with event setup, ticket scanning operations, and game-day ticket office activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of ticket sales, complimentary admissions, and ticket allocations.
  • Support the implementation of mobile ticketing and digital ticket delivery.
  • Provide professional customer service via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
  • Resolve patron concerns, ticket exchanges, seating requests, and service issues.
  • Educate customers regarding ticket policies, pricing, promotions, and event information.
  • Build positive relationships with fans, donors, season ticket holders, and campus constituents.
  • Process cash, credit card, and electronic transactions accurately.
  • Balance ticket office revenues and prepare daily financial reconciliations.
  • Assist with deposits, accounting reports, and audit documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with university financial procedures and internal controls.
  • Work assigned home athletic events, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Supervise ticket sellers, scanners, and part-time game-day staff as assigned.
  • Assist with will-call operations and credential distribution.
  • Coordinate ticketing needs for visiting teams, officials, and event personnel.
  • Prepare ticket sales reports and attendance reports.
  • Assist with promotional campaigns and season ticket renewal efforts.
  • Maintain ticket office databases and customer records.
  • Support special events, fundraising activities, and athletic department initiatives.
