About The Position

The Associate Annual Giving Officer creates and manages strategies to secure and steward Mid-Level ($1,000+) and Lead Annual ($10,000+) donations from high-potential donors. The role focuses on donor discovery, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship to develop future major gift ($50,000+) prospects. It bridges regular annual giving and major gifts, helping sustain fundraising revenue and build relationships with donors who may have the capacity to give more in the future.

The position calls for relationship-building, data analysis, and fundraising skills, typically in higher education, academic medical centers, or other nonprofit organizations. The role is with the Foundation at Saint Johns Health Center, within Providence’s patient-focused, whole-person care environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
• 2–4+ years of experience in annual, mid-level, or lead annual fundraising.
• Demonstrated ability to organize and manage projects or programs.
• Relationship-building, data analysis, and fundraising skills.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage strategies to secure and steward Mid-Level ($1,000+) and Lead Annual ($10,000+) donations from high-potential donors.
• Conduct donor discovery, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
• Build relationships with donors who may become future major gift ($50,000+) prospects.
• Support a consistent revenue stream and the sustainability of the Foundation’s fundraising efforts.
• Organize and manage fundraising projects and programs.
