About The Position

The Annual Giving and Communications Officer is responsible for implementing, coordinating, and tracking a comprehensive annual giving program for gifts under $25,000. The program includes donor acquisition, retention, recapture, and cultivation. The officer leads annual giving operations and turns strategy into campaign calendars, segmented audiences, production timelines, content assets, vendor deliverables, deployment plans, and post-campaign reporting. The role is directly accountable for annual philanthropic revenue, donor pipeline growth, and system-wide employee giving. The position partners with the VHC Health Communications and Marketing Lead and Foundation vendors to coordinate Foundation communications, events, and outreach, ensuring they are mission-centered and aligned with approved VHC Health priorities and assets. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required.
Minimum four years of fundraising, annual giving, campaign operations, development communications, or related experience.
Proven experience implementing multi-channel direct response fundraising, digital giving, employee giving, or donor engagement campaigns.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with marketing, communications, stewardship, development services, clinical, and operational partners.
Strong project management, segmentation, data analysis, reporting, and campaign optimization skills; data-informed decision making is required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Healthcare or health system foundation experience.
Experience with CRM systems, appeal coding, source tracking, list management, giving pages, and campaign dashboards.
Experience with Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge.
Familiarity with planned giving vehicles and donor pipeline development.
