Requirements

Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
Admission to the California State Bar and in good standing.
2–4 years of relevant experience.
Excellent attention to detail.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of federal, state, and local workplace and employment law.
Understanding of current state and federal agency enforcement techniques.
Experience conducting trainings or workplace investigations.

Responsibilities

Conduct audits of employer practices, including wage and hour policies and procedures.
Draft and revise incentive compensation documents, including commission and bonus plans.
Draft and revise policies, handbooks, and employee communications so employees can easily understand expectations.
Explain complex employment law issues clearly to a range of audiences.
Identify problem-solving options and explain the advantages and disadvantages of each so clients can choose a practical and legal solution.
