Assisted Living Registered Nurse (RN)
About The Position
Bristol Glen, a United Methodist Communities (UMC) community in Newton, New Jersey, is seeking a per diem Registered Nurse to care for residents in its assisted living community. Many residents live largely independently and rely on nursing care, medication support, and a consistent nursing presence. Day, evening, and overnight shifts are available as needed. The RN monitors residents’ health, responds to changes in condition, provides clinical care according to individualized service plans, and maintains accurate records of care, medications, and observations. The RN also supports resident transitions and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team, residents, families, and caregiving staff to promote quality care and well-being. Employment offers are contingent on background and reference checks and a drug test. A flu vaccine is required, with medical or religious exemptions available upon request. Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Previous experience in long-term care or assisted living.
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Responsibilities
- Monitor residents’ health and respond to changes in condition throughout the day.
- Deliver clinical care in alignment with individualized service plans.
- Support smooth resident transitions, including move-ins, transfers, and departures.
- Maintain timely and accurate records of care provided, medications, and observations.
- Partner with the interdisciplinary team to develop and revise resident care strategies.
- Build positive relationships with residents, families, and caregiving staff to promote quality care and overall well-being.
