Assisted Living Registered Nurse (RN)
About The Position
Bristol Glen, a United Methodist Communities community in Newton, New Jersey, is hiring a per diem Registered Nurse to care for residents in its assisted living community. Many residents live largely independently and rely on the RN for nursing care, medication support, and a steady presence across day, evening, or overnight shifts as needed. The RN monitors residents’ health, provides clinical care aligned with individualized service plans, maintains accurate care and medication records, supports resident transitions, and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team on care strategies. The role also involves building positive relationships with residents, families, and caregiving staff to promote quality care and well-being. The hourly pay range is $40.33–$50.33, based on experience. Benefits may depend on position, shift, and hours. Employment offers are contingent on background and reference checks and a drug test. Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Previous experience in long-term care or assisted living.
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Responsibilities
- Monitor residents’ health and respond to changes in condition throughout the day.
- Deliver clinical care in alignment with individualized service plans.
- Support resident transitions, including move-ins, transfers, and departures.
- Maintain timely and accurate records for care provided, medications, and observations.
- Partner with the interdisciplinary team to develop and revise resident care strategies.
- Build positive relationships with residents, families, and caregiving staff to promote quality care and overall well-being.
