About The Position

Butterfly Homes in Billings Heights is hiring a part-time cook to prepare and serve appealing home-style meals in a friendly work environment. The cook prepares planned meals and simply modified diets, assists with ordering food and kitchen supplies, and maintains cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen and dining area. The role requires following provided menus and recipes, managing food waste, and observing safe food-handling and rotation procedures.

Requirements

• Cooking experience, either at home or in other institutions.
• Good people and communication skills.
• Willingness to work as an active team member.
• Ability to maintain and display a positive attitude.
• Ability to multitask.
• Ability to follow menus and cook a variety of foods in large quantities.
• Time-management awareness.
• Ability to read, speak, write, and follow oral and written directions.

Nice To Haves

• High school education or equivalent is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve an appetizing variety of planned meals and simply modified diets according to provided menus and recipes.
• Assist the administrator in planning nutritious and palatable menus.
• Assist with ordering food and kitchen supplies.
• Control and limit food waste.
• Maintain a clean and safe kitchen and dining area.
• Follow proper food-handling and food-rotation procedures.
