About The Position

The Assisted Living Assistant Director of Nursing works under the direction of the Wellness Director to help ensure resident services are provided on a day-to-day basis. This includes coordinating and supervising personal care and medication services, as well as staff training and supervision. The role requires an active LPN license in good standing, experience in assisted living and/or nursing homes, and knowledge of applicable senior-housing regulations. The position is based at Gentry Park Orlando in Orlando, Florida, and is full time.

Requirements

• Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in good standing and meet all state health requirements.
• At least 3 years of experience in assisted living and/or a nursing home.
• Knowledge of state and local rules, regulations, laws, and ordinances relating to licensed senior housing.
• Previous supervisory and/or management experience in a related healthcare setting.
• Exceptional organizational skills and ability to reprioritize daily tasks to accommodate fluctuating resident and community needs.
• Strong documentation skills.
• Experience in training and staff development.
• Ability to develop systems for monitoring resident health conditions and ensuring efficient and safe delivery of resident care.
• Must pass background checks.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise personal care services for residents.
• Coordinate and supervise medication services.
• Support staff training and development.
• Supervise staff on a day-to-day basis.
• Develop systems to monitor residents’ health conditions and ensure efficient, safe delivery of resident care.
• Organize and reprioritize daily tasks to respond to changing resident and community needs.
• Maintain strong documentation of resident care and services.
