About The Position

Allegro Winter Park is seeking an experienced LPN to serve as Assistant Resident Care Director (ARCD) in its Assisted Living community. The ARCD supports the Resident Care Director (RCD) in supervising Assisted Living Services and meeting residents’ needs. The role also assists the RCD with all phases of Assisted Living Department operations, including general administration and physical maintenance. The ARCD helps maintain excellent service, quality care, high occupancy, effective communication, and resident satisfaction. This position supervises and supports caregiving staff, contributes to resident service planning and care activities, and works with residents, families, physicians, and other departments. The position is full-time, on the day shift, with rotating weekend coverage.

Requirements

Active RN or LPN license in good standing with the state licensing agency where the community is located; the posting identifies an active Florida LPN license as required.
CPR/AED certification.
Minimum age of 18.
Positive criminal background screening.
Strong communication skills and a passion for leading teams and serving seniors.

Nice To Haves

Prior supervisory or leadership experience; one year of supervisory experience is preferred.
At least two years of experience in geriatric care, long-term care, or assisted living.
Assisted Living Training.
Previous experience with computerized resident documentation systems.

Responsibilities

Support the Resident Care Director in overseeing daily clinical operations and the Assisted Living Department.
Supervise care staff in providing residents’ day-to-day care, including bathing assistance and health monitoring.
Coach, mentor, and develop caregiving staff to deliver resident-centered care.
Work with care staff to create Resident Service Plans and ensure individualized care needs are met.
Assist with resident care activities.
Collaborate with residents, families, and physicians to support resident outcomes.
Assist the Sales & Marketing Department in assessing prospects and new residents as directed by the RSD.
Maintain daily communication with the RSD to promote continuity of care and maintain resident services.
Maintain Department compliance with the operating budget using the purchase order system and budget-control procedures, including prior authorization for capital expenditure purchases.
Promote a safe environment for residents, visitors, and associates through attention to infection control and life safety.
Participate in rotating weekend coverage as part of the leadership team.
Assist the RCD with general administration and physical maintenance of the Assisted Living Department.
Perform other duties as assigned.
