About The Position

The Assistant Women's Lacrosse Coach assists the head coach with all aspects of Alma College's intercollegiate women's lacrosse program. The role supports team coaching, recruiting, scouting, academic monitoring, fundraising, and program operations, while helping ensure compliance with College, MIAA, and NCAA rules. The assistant reports to the head women's lacrosse coach and has no supervisory responsibilities. The position also contributes to a supportive and inclusive campus and community environment. Requirements

Collegiate-level playing and/or coaching experience.
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with computer applications.
Strong organizational, event-planning, and fundraising skills.
Demonstrated experience or commitment to working with diverse populations.
Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
Willingness and ability to participate actively in practices, work evenings and weekends, and travel as required.

Responsibilities

Assist the head coach with all aspects of the team, including practices and competitions.
Evaluate and recruit qualified student-athletes in accordance with a defined recruiting plan.
Scout opponents and conduct video analysis.
Monitor student-athletes' class schedules, grades, and academic progress.
Model and enforce sportsmanlike behavior.
Cooperate with maintenance, transportation, and other staff supporting the athletic program.
Uphold and adhere to College, MIAA, and NCAA rules and regulations.
Attend athletic department meetings and events and represent the College positively with community members, alumni, media, and other stakeholders.
Support the mission and philosophy of Alma College and its athletics department.
Assist with planning and executing fundraising initiatives for the lacrosse program.
