About The Position

Cantor Fitzgerald Securities is hiring an Assistant Vice President, Operations for its Jacksonville, Florida worksite. The role supports corporate action processing for equity and fixed income securities, including voluntary events, reconciliations, issue resolution, marketplace updates, and electronic reporting for prime brokers and inventory trading clients.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• One year of experience as an analyst within the financial services industry.
• Experience identifying, assessing, and mitigating potential corporate risks.
• Experience preparing management reports reflecting operational loss reports and discerning trends and opportunities for enhancement.
• Experience with platform modernization, process automation, or digital transportation initiatives.
• Experience performing reconciliations to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.

Responsibilities

• Engage with mandatory team members to manage and resolve breaks across the processing chain.
• Support the lifecycle for voluntary events, including election eligibility, option set-up, response collection, instruction submission, confirmation tracking, and post-event reconciliation.
• Compile management reports, including operational loss reports, and analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for enhancement.
• Perform reconciliations to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies in client entitlements and transaction data.
• Identify and resolve problems associated with corporate action processing, including incomplete instructions or data discrepancies.
• Capture and provide material updates announced in the marketplace to holders of equity and fixed income securities.
• Produce and send electronic dataset reports to prime brokers and inventory trading clients.
