About The Position

The Vice President, Operations leads goop’s Operations function and develops and executes operational strategy to support strong performance and scalable growth. The role oversees the end-to-end supply chain, production, fulfillment, logistics, and operational performance across business verticals, and may initially oversee product development on an interim basis. The VP shapes operational strategy, manages supply chain execution, drives efficient fulfillment across channels, and owns COGS and operations-driven financial results. The role works with executive and cross-functional teams to support company milestones, revenue goals, product launches, and enterprise-wide ERP optimization. It is a full-time, exempt role with a hybrid work policy: employees work in the Santa Monica office on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with remote work also part of the policy.

Requirements

15+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, logistics, or operations management.
Demonstrated experience managing operations and performance with 3PL partners to ensure service-level compliance, efficiency, and cost optimization.
At least 5 years in a senior leadership role, with a proven track record of leading teams and driving cross-functional influence.
Strong experience with ERP systems, advanced planning systems, and data and analytics platforms.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, or a related field.
Strong analytical capabilities and financial acumen, including COGS and P&L.
Experience with DTC, wholesale, and retail distribution.

Responsibilities

Build and execute a long-term operational strategy aligned with company growth goals, product launches, and efficient omnichannel distribution.
Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team, establishing a culture of accountability, excellence, and continuous improvement.
Oversee sourcing, procurement, and production with co-manufacturers and suppliers, ensuring quality, performance, and on-time delivery.
Own supplier strategy, negotiations, relationships, risk mitigation, and contingency planning.
Pursue margin improvement, lead-time reduction, and quality improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with product safety, quality, and regulatory guidelines.
Manage 3PL partnerships, including contract negotiations, SLA adherence, KPI reporting, cost management, and continuous improvement.
Ensure fulfillment and customer experience across DTC, wholesale, and retail distribution channels.
Oversee inbound and outbound logistics, including freight, customs, and transportation carrier performance.
Optimize transportation costs, delivery speed, and service levels.
Work with the executive team to support operational readiness for company milestones and revenue goals.
Collaborate with cross-functional counterparts to enable new product launches.
Partner with Finance and Technology teams on ERP system and process optimization, troubleshooting, training, and documentation.
Manage P&L, cost-reduction initiatives, and operational KPIs.
Own COGS management and drive initiatives that improve margins while maintaining quality and brand experience.
Partner with Finance on forecasts, budgets, demand planning models, and inventory strategies.
Potentially provide interim oversight of the product development function.
