About The Position

The Assistant Vice President, Operations will engage with mandatory team members to manage and resolve breaks across the processing chain. The role supports the lifecycle for voluntary events, including election eligibility, option set-up, response collection, instruction submission, confirmation tracking, and post-event reconciliation.

The position compiles management reports, including operational loss reports, and analyzes data to identify trends and opportunities for enhancement. It performs reconciliations to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies in client entitlements and transaction data, and identifies and resolves corporate action processing problems, including incomplete instructions or data discrepancies. The role also captures and provides material marketplace updates announced to holders of equity and fixed income securities, and produces and sends electronic dataset reports to prime brokers and inventory trading clients.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• One year of experience as an analyst within the financial services industry.
• Experience identifying, assessing, and mitigating potential corporate risks.
• Experience preparing management reports reflecting operational loss reports and discerning trends and opportunities for enhancement.
• Experience with platform modernization, process automation, or digital transportation initiatives.
• Experience performing reconciliations to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.

Responsibilities
