Assistant Varsity Cheerleading Coach__Football
About The Position
This supplemental position involves supervising and instructing a high school cheerleading team of approximately 6-10 athletes. The Assistant Varsity Cheerleading Coach will work under the Head Cheerleading Coach, assisting with coaching, communication, and administrative duties. The role requires conducting regular practices, coaching student-athletes positively, and ensuring their safety during practices and competitions. The coach will also develop training plans for athletes with varying abilities, supervise and travel with the team to all contests, and perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Requirements
- Experience in the designated sport
- Must meet all coaching requirements as specified by the Board of Education and OHSAA, including acquiring a pupil activity permit and CPR certification
Nice To Haves
- Prior coaching experience preferred
- Van certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Supervise and instruct high school cheerleading team consisting of approximately 6-10 athletes each
- Assist the Head Cheerleading Coach with coaching, communication, and administrative duties as assigned.
- Conduct regular practices for the team.
- Coach student-athletes in a positive manner.
- Ensure the safety of all student-athletes during practices and competitions.
- Develop practice and training plans for athletes with differing ability levels.
- Supervise and travel with the team to all contests.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
