About The Position

The LAZ Hospitality team specializes in hotel partnerships, focusing on operational and financial excellence, and building relationships through training, human connection, and career development. The Assistant Hospitality Manager supports the Hospitality Manager in overseeing the financial, operational, safety, and service aspects of their assigned hotel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience desired.
  • Prior experience in the hospitality industry (Parking, Restaurants, Hotels, etc) is preferred.
  • Previous supervisory or management experience is preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment with high customer expectations.
  • Knowledge of Excel, Word, Power Point and General Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Ability to seek improvement and create an environment of idea sharing and creative problem solving.
  • Capable of handling employee conflict, following grievance procedures, mediating and conflict resolution.
  • Strong customer service skills and abilities.
  • Ability to be approachable and facilitate coaching conversations with employees and managers.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, plan, schedule, train, and direct the activities of Shift Leads and frontline staff.
  • Ensure increased revenue, controlled expenses, and customer satisfaction by maintaining high safety and service standards aligned with client expectations.
  • Attend daily stand-up meetings and resume meetings scheduled by the client, either personally or through Supervisors and Shift Leads.
  • Ensure LAZ internal stand-up meetings (Pre-Shifts or “Huddles”) are held each shift.
  • Assist with the management and development of the Hotel team to achieve goals and initiatives, embodying LAZ Parking’s culture.
  • Identify high-potential employees for organizational growth.
  • Actively participate in the recruiting and onboarding process.
  • Ensure all safety initiatives are rolled out to new and existing employees and report any safety concerns to the Hospitality Manager.
  • Drive service results and establish goals by monitoring and responding to LAZ Service Shopper Reports and hotel internal service metrics.
  • Cultivate client relationships and ensure business retention.
  • Implement and complete other projects, programs, and initiatives.
  • Understand, implement, and deliver all requirements outlined in the contractual agreement between LAZ Parking and clients.
  • Manage claims and safety-related training, prevention initiatives, and claims processing, including investigation, client/guest follow-up, and reporting.
  • Oversee overall financial success, including audit compliance and adherence to audit protocols.
  • Process payroll, ensuring timely sign-off on hours and proper data completion with the local payroll department and HR Business Partner.
  • Ensure LHIST data is entered daily and accurately.
  • Manage the financial aspects of the assigned location, ensuring adherence to budget and revenue enhancements related to staffing, scheduling, and operational expenses.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and annual financial and operational reports.
  • Assist with monitoring, reviewing, and analyzing market rate structures.
