About The Position

The Assistant Season Pass & Ticketing Manager supports the daily operation of Mission Ridge's Season Pass/Ticketing and Scanning teams. This position provides day-to-day leadership, prepares staff for successful operations, resolves guest and access issues, and helps ensure efficient, accurate, and friendly service at the Ticket Office and mountain access points. The Assistant Manager works closely with the Season Pass/Ticketing & IT Manager and is expected to lead daily operations and make appropriate operational decisions when the Manager is unavailable or focused on other responsibilities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous high-volume guest service experience required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a guest-first approach.
  • Ability to guide, support, and provide direction to staff in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Ability to make sound day-to-day decisions and solve problems independently within established policies.
  • Ability to remain calm, professional, and empathetic during difficult guest or staff situations.
  • Strong attention to detail, follow-through, and accurate handling of transactions and records.
  • Comfortable using point-of-sale systems, computers, mobile devices, and other operational technology.
  • Ability to learn new software and processes quickly and troubleshoot basic operational technology issues.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with guests, coworkers, supervisors, and other departments.
  • Willingness to provide and receive constructive feedback and work collaboratively as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Ski industry, ticketing, retail, or similar experience preferred.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Previous cash-handling and point-of-sale experience preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace preferred.
  • Experience with SnowCloud or similar ticketing/access-control software is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the day-to-day leadership and operation of the Season Pass/Ticketing and Scanning teams.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for staff and provide clear direction, support, and problem-solving throughout the day.
  • Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and training seasonal Ticketing and Scanning staff.
  • Ensure staff receive current information and are positioned appropriately for daily operations.
  • Help hold staff accountable to department expectations, schedules, policies, and established procedures.
  • Assist with online purchases and eligible season pass, ticket, RFID card, and other product transactions using SnowCloud.
  • Assist guests in person and by phone with pass, ticket, account, reservation, scanning, and mountain-access concerns.
  • Support staff and guests with a calm, empathetic, guest-first approach.
  • Complete and oversee opening and closing duties, including cash handling, drawer reconciliation, and daily reporting as assigned.
  • Share operational updates, product information, policies, and procedures with staff and help ensure consistent execution.
  • Understand Mission Ridge lift ticket and season pass products, benefits, restrictions, policies, reciprocal resort benefits, partner programs, and seasonal promotions.
  • Clearly communicate product details, eligibility requirements, restrictions, and redemption procedures to guests and staff.
  • Work with other Mission Ridge teams to resolve guest and operational issues.
  • Identify trends, problems, and opportunities for improvement and communicate them to the Manager.
  • Follow through on routine assignments, special projects, and department responsibilities.
  • Oversee daily Season Pass/Ticketing and Scanning operations and make appropriate day-to-day decisions when the Manager is unavailable or focused on other responsibilities.
  • Help keep work areas safe, organized, guest-ready, and professional.
  • Be prepared to work outside in varying winter conditions.

Benefits

  • Salary Range: $18.25 - $23.00 Hourly
