About The Position

KI is seeking a full-time Assistant Team Leader for its Green Bay manufacturing facility. The position supports Assembly Team Leaders and production technicians by helping ensure materials and products are available to maintain production, and that downtime and quality information is documented. The role also serves as a backup to the Assembly Team Leaders. The position is on first shift, Monday through Friday, from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., with overtime during the busy season. A $1.00-per-hour raise is given within the first year of employment.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Willingness to assist in any area of the plant when work in the assigned area is slow.

Responsibilities

Support the team leader in communicating goals and huddle information and in making job-rotation decisions.
Suggest staffing needs for the cell.
Support training of technicians.
Help ensure cell technicians have the materials and parts needed to continue production, schedules are maintained, downtime and quality issues are documented, and production display boards are maintained.
Assist with production as needed.
Operate all equipment in the cell effectively and safely.
Participate in continuous-improvement activities, including Kaizen events, layout planning, and Value Stream Mapping.
