About The Position

HALO is hiring an on-site Assembly team member at its Sterling, Illinois fulfillment center. The role supports preparation of customer orders for shipment by assembling and packaging packets and boxes according to warehouse sheets. The employee ensures that packing lists and shipment contents are accurate and that materials meet approved inspection standards. This first-shift position runs Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. CT. The employee works under the supervision of the Team Lead and Production Supervisor and collaborates with a group to complete projects on time.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Basic Microsoft Excel experience.
Ability to pay close attention to detail and ensure the accuracy of reports and data.
Good judgment and a proactive approach in challenging circumstances.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment.

Nice To Haves

Prior warehouse and shipping experience.

Responsibilities

Interpret warehouse sheets to produce packets and magic boxes.
Inspect materials before assembly or kitting to ensure supplies meet minimum approved inspection standards.
Use an Excel spreadsheet to track kitting projects and update it as needed.
Request additional materials when damage or shortages are identified.
Work with the group to distribute assembly responsibilities and complete projects on time.
Coordinate with the Team Lead to address and resolve inaccuracies and inequities.
Maintain the work area properly.
Ensure the packing list and items included in shipments are accurate.
Notify the Team Lead and/or Supervisor when a project is complete.
Perform other duties as needed and directed by the Team Lead and Supervisor.
