About The Position

The Materials Team Leader coordinates activities across materials operations, including receiving, warehousing, shipping, and inventory control. The role leads and coaches MDI, creates and maintains standard work, and helps ensure that standard work is followed. The Team Leader tracks shortages and material-flow, receiving, and shipping issues and helps resolve them. This is an on-site position five days per week and is identified as safety sensitive.

Requirements

• Ability to influence, coach, and lead others directly and indirectly.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office, such as Excel and Outlook, and ability to learn and use multiple systems and databases.
• Strong oral communication skills and ability to communicate with internal and external parties involved in scrap, trash, recycling, and storage.
• Ability to perform the work of employees under supervision.
• Knowledge and application of Lean Principles.
• Ability to work with little supervision.
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate powered industrial vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Ensure employee safety and adherence to EHS requirements.
• Lead MDI and other related materials activities and meetings.
• Lead and train employees, providing feedback and coaching.
• Ensure material availability and accurate inventories.
• Ensure transactions and logs are completed correctly and on time.
• Ensure necessary documents are maintained and filed in accordance with compliance and retention policies.
• Track shortages and material-flow, receiving, and shipping issues, and help provide resolutions.
• Create and maintain standard work and help ensure it is followed.
