About The Position

Under the general direction of the Production Supervisor, the Production Team Leader leads the production team to ensure smooth and efficient manufacturing operations while promoting a team environment. The role coordinates resources and prioritizes work within assigned production cells, supports quality and delivery objectives, promotes safety and continuous improvement, and develops team members through training and guidance. The position is hourly and non-exempt, has no supervisory responsibility, and is not eligible for a hybrid or remote work schedule.

Requirements

High school graduate.
Two years of manufacturing experience.
Able to lift a minimum of 30 pounds.
Able to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions.
Solid math skills.
Basic computer skills.
Proven mechanical ability.
Strong verbal, written, and listening communication skills.
Leadership skills, including positive behavior and the ability to motivate and influence.
People and team development skills, including training, coaching, and team-building.
Results-oriented approach and ownership.
Sound judgment, including creativity, problem-solving, and decision-making.
Planning and organizing skills.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

Maintain adherence to all safety guidelines.
Promote the MAC Quality Policy and ensure assigned team members follow current procedures, work instructions, and other applicable documentation.
Coordinate resources and prioritize tasks within assigned cells to meet daily production needs.
Plan daily and weekly production requirements to achieve 100% on-time delivery.
Coordinate 5S and housekeeping activities.
Promote continual improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
Assist supervision with skills assessments and performance evaluations for assigned team members.
Monitor resource availability and needs for the assigned area.
Review and report daily cell performance and other assigned metrics.
Communicate promptly and effectively with the Production group, support groups, and management.
Develop the team through training and guidance.
Provide hands-on support as needed to help the team meet expectations.
Provide leadership on the shop floor by developing positive behaviors, fostering ownership, passion, and urgency, encouraging teamwork and cooperation, and leading by example.
Work overtime during the week and on weekends when needed, sometimes on short notice.
