This position is a full-time, academic-year, non-tenure-track Assistant Teaching Professor position in the School of Business at the University of Kansas. The position's primary responsibility is teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in Finance and Economics, with a particular emphasis on courses supporting the Bicknell Certificate in Personal Finance, KU's CFP® program within the School of Business. The role involves teaching courses on various topics in personal and household finance, personal financial planning, insurance, economics, finance, and foundations of business. Potential course assignments include FIN 330 Introduction to Financial Planning and Retirement and FIN 430 Financial Planning Capstone. Duties include instruction, course preparation, consultation, and grading. Courses may be taught online or on-campus. The typical course load is eight courses per academic year, determined by the Finance Area Director. Faculty are expected to abide by university policies and engage in service activities, including professional and scholarly engagement that supports instruction and student development.
