About The Position

The Assistant Teacher works with a senior team member to support children’s intellectual, physical, emotional, and social development through age-appropriate activities and a provided play-based curriculum. The role helps prepare children for kindergarten by easing them into organized education from infancy through school age. It also includes assisting with daily care, such as feeding, changing, and nap time, and maintaining interactive, open communication with parents and team members through the Classroom Management system. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in childcare.
• Knowledge of childcare licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and participate in age-appropriate activities that promote children’s intellectual, physical, emotional, and social development, with oversight from a senior team member.
• Use the provided curriculum to help prepare children for kindergarten, from infancy through school age.
• Assist with daily care, including feeding, changing, and nap time.
• Maintain interactive and open communication with parents and other team members using the Classroom Management system.
