About The Position

Kids Crest Childcare & Learning Center is hiring a caring, enthusiastic Assistant Teacher to float between its Infant and Toddler classrooms at its new center at Pinecrest of Country Manor in Brainerd, Minnesota. The center has five age-specific classrooms and outdoor play areas. As part of the Pinecrest campus, children may take part in intergenerational activities and visits with seniors, classroom activities throughout the campus, community events, and creative learning experiences.

The Assistant Teacher will help create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom where every child feels valued. The role includes developing age-appropriate lesson plans, guiding classroom activities, collaborating with lead teachers, and supporting children's learning, growth, skills, and confidence. This is a full-time, Monday-through-Friday position with various hours.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience in a childcare center.
• At least one year of full-time college credits in Education or a related field.
• Qualified as an Assistant Teacher under Minnesota Rule 3.
• Outgoing personality and a passion for teaching.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with children and families.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the Infant and Toddler classrooms.
• Help students prepare for future success.
• Encourage children's growth and learning through activities, events, and outings.
• Work alongside lead teachers and other teachers in a supportive environment.
• Provide students with assistance in their studies.
• Lead gym activities, science experiments, special interest groups, and arts and crafts.
• Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom where every child feels valued.
• Develop age-appropriate lesson plans and guide classroom activities.
• Support children in building skills and confidence.
