Assistant Teacher Float- Kids Crest
About The Position
Kids Crest Childcare & Learning Center is hiring a full-time Assistant Teacher Float to work between the Infant and Toddler Rooms at its new childcare center at Pinecrest of Country Manor in Brainerd, Minnesota. The Assistant Teacher will help create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom where children feel valued; develop age-appropriate lesson plans; guide classroom activities; collaborate with lead teachers; and help children build skills and confidence. Kids Crest is part of the Pinecrest campus, where children may take part in intergenerational activities and special visits with seniors, classroom activities throughout the campus, community events, and creative learning experiences. The new center has five age-specific classrooms and outdoor play areas.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in a childcare center.
- At least one year of full-time college credits in Education or a related field.
- Qualified as an Assistant Teacher under Rule 3 in Minnesota.
- Outgoing personality and a passion for teaching.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with children and families.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the Infant and Toddler classrooms.
- Help students prepare for success in the future.
- Encourage children's growth and learning through activities, events, and outings.
- Work alongside other teachers in a supportive environment.
- Provide assistance to students with their studies.
- Lead gym activities, science experiments, special interest groups, and arts and crafts.
- Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom where every child feels valued.
- Develop age-appropriate lesson plans and guide classroom activities.
- Collaborate with lead teachers.
- Help children build skills and confidence.
