The Learning Experience - Hudson Yards is seeking a dependable and energetic Part-Time Assistant Teacher to support our classrooms during the afternoon. This is a great opportunity for a student or anyone looking for a consistent part-time weekday schedule. You'll provide classroom coverage and help our teaching teams create a positive end to the day for children and families.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Comfortable supporting different classrooms and age groups
- Reliable and consistently available during afternoon hours
- Positive, energetic, flexible, and team-oriented
- Must meet applicable New York City childcare requirements
Nice To Haves
- Previous childcare or experience working with children preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide afternoon support across early childhood classrooms
- Assist teachers with activities, transitions, and pick-up routines
- Engage children through play, art, music, movement, and age-appropriate activities
- Provide classroom and teacher break coverage as needed
- Help maintain required classroom ratios
- Support classroom cleanup and end-of-day routines
- Provide attentive supervision and positive guidance
- Follow applicable New York City childcare licensing requirements
