About The Position

The Afternoon Assistant Teacher supports a mixed-age Montessori classroom serving infants, toddlers, and children ages 3–6. The role helps create a calm, engaging environment where children can explore, learn, and develop at their own pace. The Assistant Teacher helps prepare intentional learning spaces and supports individualized and small-group activities with respect, patience, and care, while helping children build confidence and independence.

The position works with Lead Guides and other team members to foster a strong classroom community and builds warm, respectful relationships with children and families. The role is based at Guidepost Montessori’s Mansfield school and is scheduled Monday through Friday, 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. CT.

Requirements

• Availability Monday through Friday, 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. CT.
• Experience working with children ages 3–6 in a school or childcare setting.
• A positive, adaptable, and collaborative mindset.
• A genuine love for working with young children.
• Interest in learning and growing within the Montessori approach.

Nice To Haves

• Prior Montessori experience is welcome but not required.
