About The Position

StarChild Academy is seeking a part-time Support Childcare Teacher for afternoons. Support Teachers collaborate with teachers across classrooms to create a positive, engaging learning environment that supports children’s holistic development. The school provides resources and a supportive environment for educators, along with education incentives and career development programs.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least 6 months of prior experience working in a certified child development center.
Prior experience with the assigned age group.
Meet specific requirements set by minimum state standards and/or accreditation.
Ability to use standard office equipment such as a laptop computer and smartphone.
Complete Level 2 background screening in accordance with Florida law; candidates may be required to use the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.

Nice To Haves

Associate’s degree in early childhood development or CDA certification is preferred but not required.
One year of prior experience working in a certified child development center is preferred.

Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times.
Monitor children’s progress and development.
Create a harmonious environment where children and fellow teachers enjoy coming each day.
