About The Position

StarChild Academy, part of Endeavor Schools, is hiring a part-time afternoon Support Childcare Teacher. Support Teachers collaborate with teachers across classrooms to create a positive, engaging learning environment that promotes children’s holistic development. The role includes helping lead learning activities, supporting children’s growth, ensuring their safety and well-being, monitoring their progress, and helping create a harmonious environment for children and fellow teachers. The starting pay is $15.00 per hour. This position requires Level 2 background screening in accordance with Florida law; candidates may need to complete screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least 6 months of prior experience working in a certified child development center; 1 year is preferred.
Prior experience with the assigned age group.
Meet specific requirements set by minimum state standards and/or accreditation.
Ability to use standard office equipment such as a laptop computer and smartphone.
Level 2 background screening in accordance with Florida law is required.

Nice To Haves

Associate degree in early childhood development or CDA certification is preferred but not required.
One year of prior experience working in a certified child development center is preferred.
