About The Position

As an Early Child Care Assistant GPK Teacher at Big Blue Marble Academy, you will work with the Lead Teacher to facilitate daily activities and help ensure the classroom runs smoothly. You will partner with families to nurture and care for their children, use electronic daily tracking to document children’s milestones, and follow enhanced safety guidelines to keep the classroom clean and safe. The role offers on-the-job training and career development opportunities, including a potential path from Assistant Teacher to Center Director.

Requirements

At least 18 years of age.
High school diploma or GED.
Demonstrated experience working with children.
Minimum of TCC or CDA.
Ability to stand six to eight hours daily and stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and bend while working with children.
Ability to lift a minimum of 30 pounds.
Ability to visually supervise children at all times.
Successful completion of a background check, pre-hire screenings, and onboarding processes.

Nice To Haves

Child care, daycare, or preschool experience preferred.
Associate degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
