About The Position

Big Blue Marble Academy is hiring an Early Child Care Assistant GPK Teacher to help deliver a curriculum that broadens children’s perspectives and understanding of the world. The role works alongside the Lead Teacher to support classroom activities and operations, partner with families in caring for children, document milestones through electronic daily tracking, and maintain a clean and safe classroom by following enhanced safety guidelines. The position offers on-the-job training and opportunities for career development.

Requirements

At least 18 years of age.
High school diploma or GED.
Demonstrated experience working with children.
Minimum of TCC or CDA.
Ability to stand six to eight hours daily and stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and bend while working with children.
Ability to lift a minimum of 30 pounds.
Ability to visually supervise children at all times.
Successful completion of the background check, pre-hire screenings, and onboarding processes is required.

Nice To Haves

Child care, daycare, or preschool experience is preferred.
Associate degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) is preferred.

Responsibilities

Work with the Lead Teacher to facilitate daily activities and keep the classroom functioning smoothly.
Partner with families to nurture and care for their children.
