About The Position
Assistant Teachers at KinderCare support children’s learning and development by implementing the company’s curriculum in ways that meet each child’s needs and creating safe, nurturing environments for play and learning. They partner with families and colleagues to provide high-quality care and education, while contributing to center goals related to enrollment, accreditation, and engagement. The role includes building positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing authorities, community contacts, and corporate partners. The listed pay range is $15.70 per hour. In Illinois, eligible hourly employees at centers participating in the Illinois Smart Start Workforce Grant receive a 15% premium in addition to the listed pay range.
Requirements
- Meet state-specific qualifications for the role.
- Have or be willing to obtain CPR and First Aid Certification.
- Demonstrate outstanding customer service skills and strong organizational skills.
- Be able to multitask and handle multiple situations effectively.
- Be physically able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds and work indoors or outdoors.
- Be able to assume low-level postures to allow physical and visual contact with children.
- See and hear well enough to keep children safe and engage in physical activity with children.
- Read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and their parents.
