About The Position
Join the HAPPY Early Childhood Academic childcare center as an Assistant Teacher. The centers support children from infancy through preschool, making early education and daycare joyful, engaging, and fun so children can learn, play, and grow. This role supports classroom learning, safety, children’s development, and communication with families. The position requires availability until 6:30–6:45 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Ability to meet state and local childcare licensing requirements.
- Availability to work until 6:30–6:45 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Nice To Haves
- Early childhood education coursework preferred.
- One or more years of childcare experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Help deliver engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans and activities.
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized classrooms by following TLE standards and protocols.
- Monitor children’s growth and development, understand key milestones, and celebrate their progress.
- Build relationships with families and share daily updates and cheerful moments through the mobile app.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers to create a supportive and happy learning environment.
