About The Position

The Assistant Teacher supports an early childhood academic childcare center serving children from infancy through preschool. The role helps create joyful, engaging learning experiences that encourage children to learn, play, and grow. Assistant Teachers support age-appropriate lessons and activities, maintain safe and organized classrooms, monitor children’s development, communicate with families, and collaborate with other teachers. Full-time and part-time positions are available. Candidates must be able to work until 6:30–6:45 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Ability to meet state and local childcare licensing requirements.
• Must be able to work until 6:30–6:45 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Nice To Haves

• Early childhood education coursework preferred.
• At least one year of childcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help deliver engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans and activities.
• Follow center standards and protocols to keep classrooms clean, safe, and organized.
• Monitor children’s growth and development, understand key milestones, and celebrate their progress.
• Build relationships with families and share daily updates and moments through the center’s mobile app.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers to create a supportive learning environment.
