About The Position

The Assistant Teacher helps provide daily care in a child care center, follows licensing guidelines and company standards, and maintains a fun, interactive, clean, and organized classroom. The role also involves building skills in observing, assessing, and planning for children and communicating effectively with families. Extensive training is provided on childcare, preschool, and child development topics.

Requirements

• Ability to meet state and/or accreditation requirements for education and experience.
• Ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.
• Energetic, dependable, and passionate about working with children.

Responsibilities

• Follow all licensing guidelines and company standards to ensure the daily care of every child.
• Maintain a fun, interactive classroom that is clean and organized.
• Observe, assess, and plan for children.
• Communicate effectively with families.
• Complete extensive training on childcare, preschool, and child development topics.
• Engage in physical activity with children indoors or outdoors.
