About The Position

The Assistant Teacher works side-by-side with teachers and families to provide a home-away-from-home for children, following NAEYC guidelines. The role is responsible for supervising children ages 6 weeks to 12 years in one assigned classroom, supporting developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities, and maintaining a safe, warm, and clean environment where children can grow and explore. The Assistant Teacher partners and communicates with families to support each child’s care and education.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain organized.
• Ability to work within regular operating hours.
• Must meet state criteria for child care employment.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience in a licensed child care facility.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks to 12 years in one assigned classroom.

• Curate programs and activities based on children’s interests and learning styles.
• Maintain a warm, safe, and clean environment that allows children to grow and explore.
