About The Position
The Assistant Teacher helps provide daily care for children at a child care center while supporting their learning and development. The role involves following licensing guidelines and company standards, maintaining a fun, interactive, clean, and organized classroom, and engaging with children. The Assistant Teacher develops skills in observing, assessing, and planning for children and communicating effectively with families. Extensive training on child care, preschool, and child development topics is provided. The position requires the ability to meet state and/or accreditation requirements for education and experience and to work indoors or outdoors while engaging in physical activity with children. Compensation is based on position, education, and experience. The listed Assistant Teacher pay range is $18.09–$18.79. A successful background check is a prerequisite of employment, effective January 1, 2024.
