About The Position

The Assistant Teacher supports the daily care and learning of children in a child care center. The role involves following licensing guidelines and company standards, maintaining a fun, interactive, clean, and organized classroom, and developing skills in observing, assessing, and planning for children. The Assistant Teacher also communicates effectively with families and completes training on childcare, preschool, and child development topics. The position is listed for an afternoon shift from 3–6 p.m., with a Monday–Friday work week.

Requirements

• Ability to meet state and/or accreditation requirements for education and experience.
• Ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.
• Energetic and dependable, with a passion for working with children.

Responsibilities

• Follow licensing guidelines and company standards to ensure the daily care of every child.
