About The Position

The Assistant Teacher supports children’s learning and development through a play-based, developmentally appropriate curriculum in a nurturing classroom environment. The role involves planning and delivering engaging lessons aligned with Ohio Early Learning Standards, maintaining classroom routines, and helping create a safe, welcoming space where children feel respected and encouraged. The teacher supports children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development, observes and documents their progress, and shares updates with families. The position also includes following health, hygiene, and safety protocols, collaborating with fellow teachers, and participating in professional development.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old, per Ohio requirements.
High school diploma or GED required.
Strong communication skills and teamwork.
A genuine love for working with children.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a licensed Early Childhood Education setting or a degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred.
