About The Position

Assistant Teachers at KinderCare of Huntley support children and their education every day. They implement KinderCare's curriculum in ways that meet each child's needs, create safe and nurturing environments for play and learning, and partner with parents to provide high-quality care and education. They work with center staff and leadership to support goals related to enrollment, accreditation, and engagement, and build positive relationships with families, teachers, licensing authorities, community contacts, and corporate partners. The listed pay is $15.65 per hour. In Illinois, hourly employees at centers participating in the Illinois Smart Start Workforce Grant receive a 15% premium in addition to the listed pay range.

Requirements

• Meet state-specific qualifications for the role or be willing to obtain them.
• Have outstanding customer service skills and strong organizational skills.
• Be able to multitask and handle multiple situations effectively.
• Have or be willing to obtain CPR and First Aid Certification.
• Be physically able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds and work indoors or outdoors.
• Be able to assume postures at low levels to allow physical and visual contact with children.
• Be able to see and hear well enough to keep children safe and engage in physical activity with children.
• Read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and their parents in English.
