YWCA Utah is seeking an Assistant Teacher - Floater to join their team. This is a full-time, non-exempt position working 36 hours per week. The Assistant Teacher will assist in planning, implementing, and supervising educational activities for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers to enhance their emotional and physical growth. Responsibilities include providing developmentally appropriate care, guidance, and comfort, assisting children with social skills, supervising feeding schedules, ensuring facility cleanliness and safety, and maintaining accurate records. The role also involves monitoring children's health, responding to emergencies, and maintaining compliance with licensing and accreditation standards. The Assistant Teacher will work with the teaching team to create a positive learning environment and assist the Lead Teacher with material preparation and lesson plans. Additionally, the position requires upholding the organization's mission, vision, and values, demonstrating commitment to the Sanctuary Model principles, and modeling YWCA community standards. The role involves maintaining necessary records, certifications, and attending required meetings and trainings. Campus security monitoring is also a shared responsibility.
