About The Position

The Assistant Women's Swimming Coach is responsible for assisting with team instruction, practice monitoring, recruitment of student-athletes, and assigned management and administrative duties associated with the direction of an NCAA Division I swimming and diving program. The Colorado State University Department of Athletics sponsors 16 men’s and women’s intercollegiate sports and competes as a member of NCAA Division I (FBS). The University is a current member of the Mountain West Conference and future member of the Pac-12 Conference. The University is located in Fort Collins, Colorado, 65 miles north of Denver.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of one year of intercollegiate coaching experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency with identifying, developing and implementing training protocol for elite-level athletes
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft apps and social media for the purpose of program management and outreach
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays and travel for recruiting and competition
  • Pre-employment Criminal Background Check (required for new hires)
  • Valid Driver’s License

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree
  • Competitive collegiate or professional playing experience desirable
  • Proficiency with Hy-TEK software and Teamworks platform

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing, implementing and reviewing daily, weekly, and annual training programs
  • Assume an active role in practice including student-athlete instruction, meet and event management, with the ability to utilize multiple communication and compliance platforms
  • Support student-athlete experience and provide assistance with well-being goals, including academic support; mental health initiatives; nutrition and sports medicine resources, and leadership/educational opportunities
  • Assist with administrative duties, including the areas of alumni engagement; social media communication; travel arrangements and logistics; purchasing; and equipment management
  • Take an active approach in creating a program that adheres to NCAA and university compliance policies while supporting the overall mission of Colorado State University
  • Other duties as assigned
