Assistant Swimming Coach
About The Position
The Assistant Women's Swimming Coach is responsible for assisting with team instruction, practice monitoring, recruitment of student-athletes, and assigned management and administrative duties associated with the direction of an NCAA Division I swimming and diving program. The Colorado State University Department of Athletics sponsors 16 men’s and women’s intercollegiate sports and competes as a member of NCAA Division I (FBS). The University is a current member of the Mountain West Conference and future member of the Pac-12 Conference. The University is located in Fort Collins, Colorado, 65 miles north of Denver.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of one year of intercollegiate coaching experience
- Demonstrated proficiency with identifying, developing and implementing training protocol for elite-level athletes
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft apps and social media for the purpose of program management and outreach
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays and travel for recruiting and competition
- Pre-employment Criminal Background Check (required for new hires)
- Valid Driver’s License

- Master's degree
- Competitive collegiate or professional playing experience desirable
- Proficiency with Hy-TEK software and Teamworks platform
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing, implementing and reviewing daily, weekly, and annual training programs
- Assume an active role in practice including student-athlete instruction, meet and event management, with the ability to utilize multiple communication and compliance platforms
- Support student-athlete experience and provide assistance with well-being goals, including academic support; mental health initiatives; nutrition and sports medicine resources, and leadership/educational opportunities
- Assist with administrative duties, including the areas of alumni engagement; social media communication; travel arrangements and logistics; purchasing; and equipment management
- Take an active approach in creating a program that adheres to NCAA and university compliance policies while supporting the overall mission of Colorado State University
