About The Position

The Assistant Surveyor supports the Survey Team in executing field survey operations for infrastructure and tunneling projects. This role is responsible for assisting with precise measurements, layout, data collection, and documentation to ensure accurate positioning and alignment of construction works. The Assistant Surveyor works closely with senior surveyors, engineers, and site teams to deliver reliable survey data in compliance with project specifications and safety standards.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Geomatics, Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field
  • 1 year of experience.
  • Hands-on experience with total stations, GNSS/GPS systems, and leveling equipment
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D
  • Strong understanding of survey methods, control networks, and construction layout
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, field-based environments
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and documentation
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of field survey activities, including: Total Station measurements (angles and distances), High-accuracy levelling loops for surface and tunnel control networks, GNSS/GPS surveys Layouts, as-builts, and general survey works
  • Assist in the setup, configuration, and operation of survey equipment, including Total Stations (Leica TS16, TS60, MS60), GNSS systems (Leica GS18), Digital levels (LS15)
  • Ensure all survey equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and stored
  • Support the establishment, verification, and maintenance of the project control network
  • Carry out site layout activities, transferring design data into field coordinates using AutoCAD and Civil 3D
  • Perform layout for excavation limits, Footings and structural elements, columns and formwork, Tunnel alignment and TBM guidance
  • Collect and process raw survey data, including: Level reductions and coordinate calculations, Preparation of contour maps, cross-sections, and as-built drawings
  • Maintain accurate field notes, survey logs, sketches, and daily reports, ensuring traceability and compliance with project requirements
  • Manage and organize as-built records and digital survey data
  • Monitor field activities where surveying support is required, ensuring accuracy and adherence to specifications
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with construction teams, engineers, and Subcontractors
