About The Position

Journey Home is an intensive Group Home setting for adolescents that specializes in trauma informed care. Journey Home provides 24-hour comprehensive care including a full clinical staff, nursing staff, and direct care staff. The Assistant Supervisor will convey passion for helping others with a dynamic team by bringing an energetic and positive approach while working with our clients.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Residential program or mental health facility experience required.
• Supervisory experience in Mental Health facility required.
• Maintains valid driver’s license as transporting clients is required.
• Available to work evenings, holidays, weekend shifts as required.
• Background and driving record checks will be performed.

• Speak a second language fluently, other than English.

Responsibilities

• Ensure program safety and compliance with safety and security procedures while on site, and also through rotating on call coverage.
• Support the professional development of Residential Counselors through training and supervision.
• Support all efforts to ensure the safety and well-being of clients.
• Support staff and programming through knowledge of the policies and procedures of the Journey Home's Residential Department.
• Provide physical interventions and verbal de-escalations to provide the safest therapeutic atmosphere for our clients.
