About The Position

New Haven is a leading residential treatment center serving adolescent girls (ages 14–18) and their families through trauma-informed, relationship-based care. With campuses in Spanish Fork and Saratoga Springs, we offer a warm, home-like setting that blends therapeutic support with accredited academics. Our focus areas include trauma recovery, family systems, emotional regulation, and mental health. We are seeking passionate individuals studying or with a background in psychology, social work, behavioral science, or a related field to join our mission-driven team dedicated to healing and transformation.

Requirements

  • Must be 21+ years of age.
  • Hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license with a clean record.
  • Pass a Utah State background check.
  • Willing to commit for a minimum of 8 months.
  • Obtain a Food Handler’s Permit before starting.
  • Well-versed in company policies, hiring and disciplinary procedures, and Mentor responsibilities.
  • Understand student challenges, behavioral disorders, and medication protocols.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in teaching, motivation, and team-building.
  • Ability to work effectively with interdisciplinary teams including therapists and nurses.
  • Skilled in communication, prioritization, and safely managing crisis situations.

  • Studying or have a background in psychology, social work, behavioral science, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support Mentors during shifts, recognizing standout performance and fostering a positive team culture.
  • Assign responsibilities effectively to ensure smooth, efficient shift operations.
  • Partner with HR to identify, hire, and onboard the right candidates for long-term success.
  • Guide new hires through a structured, checklist-based on-shift orientation.
  • Facilitate weekly training sessions and provide ongoing coaching to elevate team performance.
  • Monitor and evaluate staff performance regularly, with formal quarterly reviews.
  • Address performance issues professionally using structured disciplinary protocols.
  • Share key shift updates during handoffs to maintain continuity and transparency.
  • Advocate for your shift during interdisciplinary Treatment Team meetings.
  • Conduct quarterly safety drills and model best practices to maintain a secure environment.
