About The Position

The Assistant Store Supervisor is responsible for expediting shipments of parts sent to and returned from XL Parts/The Parts House distribution centers. This full-time, non-exempt Operations position reports to the Store Manager and has no direct reports. The role includes shipping and receiving merchandise, fulfilling customer orders for delivery within a 45-minute window, maintaining inventory, supporting customer service, and helping keep the store and warehouse clean and safe. Employees must pass a criminal background check and drug screen.

Requirements

High school degree or GED.
1 to 2 years of experience working in a retail environment.
Highly motivated to provide superb customer service.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen that meets the Company's guidelines for employment.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Capable of performing the physical requirements of the job, including reaching, standing, walking, kneeling, lifting, and carrying; lifting 50 pounds or more may be required.

Responsibilities

Ship and receive merchandise.
Assemble and fill customer orders for delivery within a 45-minute window.
Conduct inventory and cycle counts.
Schedule contract drivers based on company business needs.
Answer customer questions and address complaints.
Perform store opening and closing duties.
Handle cash, cash counts, and deposits.
Stock and pull parts.
Answer phones.
Keep the store and front counter clean.
Keep the warehouse clean and provide a safe work environment.
Perform routine housekeeping, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, restroom cleaning, and changing trash can liners.
