About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for expediting shipments of parts sent to and returned from XL Parts/The Parts House distribution centers. This full-time, salaried Operations role reports to the Store Manager and has no direct reports. The position supports store operations, customer service, inventory, order fulfillment, cash handling, and maintaining a clean and safe store and warehouse.

Requirements

• High school degree or GED.
• 1 to 2 years of experience working in a retail environment.
• Highly motivated to provide superb customer service.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
• Capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to perform reaching, standing, walking, kneeling, lifting, and carrying; lifting 50 pounds or more may be required.

Responsibilities

• Ship and receive merchandise.
• Assemble and fill customer orders for delivery within a 45-minute window.
• Conduct inventory and cycle counts.
• Schedule contract drivers according to company business needs.
• Answer customer questions and address complaints.
• Perform store opening and closing duties.
• Handle cash, cash counts, and deposits.
• Stock and pull parts.
• Answer phones.
• Keep the store and front counter clean.
• Keep the warehouse clean and provide a safe work environment.
