About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in executing store operations and leading a team of Health Enthusiasts. The role helps achieve sales and productivity goals, develop talent, build community relationships, and promote a culture of accountability and continuous education. It also involves maintaining store standards, supporting loss prevention, processing receipts, and ensuring shelves are stocked and products are priced correctly. Additional duties may be assigned as required.

The Vitamin Shoppe seeks an energetic, customer-focused leader with an interest in health and wellness and the ability to help develop strong teams. The position requires a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of experience and instruction, a valid driver’s license, and 3–5 years of retail experience. Retail management experience is preferred. The candidate must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including holidays and weekends, and at different locations depending on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Act as direct support to the Store Manager and execute store operations with excellence.
• Achieve and exceed daily sales and productivity goals while supporting team members in doing the same.
• Assist with recruiting and developing top talent.
• Foster external community relationships that help grow sales.
• Lead with integrity and take accountability.
• Foster continuous education and support company-driven training initiatives and learning activities.
• Maintain regular store maintenance and follow loss prevention standards.
• Ensure timely processing of receipts.
• Keep shelves stocked and products priced correctly.
• Perform additional duties as required.
