About The Position

Clarks is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store leadership and contribute to a successful culture of sales and performance. The role supports team selling, recruitment, associate training and coaching, goal setting, store operations, merchandising, and the safety and security of associates and customers. In the Store Manager’s absence, the Assistant Store Manager is responsible for employee relations issues within the store. The position also participates in analysis of the profit and loss statement and champions company initiatives.

Requirements

Retail experience.
Prior management experience.
Ability to stand for extended periods, bend frequently, climb and move ladders, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Partner with store leadership to drive a successful culture of sales and performance.
Support a team-selling environment.
Participate in all areas of store recruitment.
Teach, coach, and train store associates within an established timeframe.
Help create reachable but high goals for yourself and associates, and ensure the store has sufficient staffing to achieve its goals.
Handle employee relations issues within the store in the Store Manager’s absence.
Participate in profit and loss analysis.
Lead change for associates and champion company initiatives.
Ensure products are properly merchandised according to company directives.
Ensure the safety and security of associates and customers.
