About The Position

AutoZone’s store teams provide customer service, help customers find automotive parts and solutions, maintain well-stocked inventory, and support store operations. As an Assistant Store Manager, you will support daily store operations, energize team performance, and drive sales in a fast-paced retail environment. Through leadership, communication, and a focus on customer service, you will contribute to store success and help develop future talent.

• Proven leadership experience, including strong communication, decision-making, and sales-driving skills.
• Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and commitment to customer satisfaction.

• Ability to foster a positive work culture focused on development and results.
• Proficiency in managing, analyzing, and reconciling Profit & Loss statements.
• Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise safely and accurately.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs arise.

• Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in recruiting, supervising, scheduling, training, and developing store personnel.
• Promote clear and effective communication with employees and customers.
• Help meet sales targets, maintain accurate inventory levels, and optimize cash flow.
• Oversee efficient store operations and ensure compliance with company standards when the Store Manager or Commercial Sales Manager is absent.
• Ensure customers receive WOW! service, proactively resolve concerns, and turn complaints into positive experiences.
• Support company initiatives by promoting productivity, employee training and retention, and operational efficiency.
• Maintain effective merchandising and a clean, organized, visually appealing shopping environment.
• Enforce the use of personal protective equipment, promote workplace safety, and assist with risk management.
• Support budgeting, analyze Profit & Loss statements, and monitor expense controls to maximize profitability.
