About The Position

Runnings is hiring an Assistant Store Manager for its Rome, NY retail location. The Assistant Store Manager partners with the Store Manager in merchandising, sales, and management of the assigned retail store and is responsible for providing the highest level of customer service. The role requires a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, and a rotating weekend and holiday schedule. Hourly pay is $21.00–$25.00, depending on experience.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for overall sales and expenses at the assigned retail store.
• Direct and coordinate product merchandising.
• Set priorities for distributing new merchandise throughout the retail store.
• Ensure adequate inventory in all areas.
• Assist customers with purchases, returns, special orders, complaints, and other needs.
• Work closely with Retail Buyers to communicate product needs and other product information throughout the assigned store.
• Ensure employees and customers practice safety when handling merchandise.
• Delegate authority to managerial personnel as appropriate.
